Hyderabad: As part of Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu, a nine-day statewide event set for December 1–9, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will provide a thorough two-year performance report of the Congress government. Under the theme “People’s Governance Celebrations,” the festivities will commemorate the Congress government’s two-year tenure, which began on December 7, 2023.
According to official sources, from November 24 to 30, the Chief Minister will conduct a number of department-specific review meetings to assess performance metrics and complete the reports. Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and departmental secretaries were previously instructed by the Chief Minister to provide eight-page reports that included information on flagship programs carried out during the previous two years, budget allocations, expenditures, implementation status, targets, and gaps. Before the review sessions start, the Chief Minister will personally analyze these reports, which must be turned in by November 22.
The reports are supposed to include data that has been validated by the planning and finance departments, as well as a comparison of schemes with respect to goals, utilization levels, accomplishments, excess or deficit spending, and explanations for variations. For the fiscal year 2025–2026, they must also set priorities and deadlines for both planned and ongoing projects.
Officials have been requested to identify implementation roadblocks, including staffing shortages, financial limitations, fund-release delays, policy gaps, field-level difficulties, and technology-related problems. Departments must concurrently suggest necessary improvements, remedial actions, and assistance from the planning and finance departments. They should also outline the decisions that must be made in order to guarantee successful results and indicate areas that need for involvement at the Chief Minister and Cabinet levels.
According to sources, as part of the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu, the Chief Minister would tour districts from December 1 to December 7 to open development projects and speak at public gatherings. The performance report, which highlights the government’s accomplishments and its future plans, will be formally unveiled during the festivities.
