HYDERABAD: On the anniversary of his 350th martyrdom, Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, is being honored. On November 23 and 30, the community will commemorate the martyrdom with massive celebrations. The schedule was made public by the organizing organization in a press release. For his sacrifice in support of religious freedom and human dignity, Guru Tegh Bahadurji is held in high regard. Nagar Kirtans and Vishal Kirtan Darbars, which emphasize his teachings and ultimate martyrdom, will honor his life and bravery. According to the committee, the Sikh Guru preserved Dharma at considerable personal cost and made unmatched sacrifices for the country.
In collaboration with all Sikh Gurudwaras in Telangana, extensive events will be planned under the auspices of the Prabandhak Committee, Gurudwara Saheb Sitaphalmandi, Secunderabad. The celebrations will honor the Ninth Sikh Guru’s dedication to religious freedom and human rights with Nagar Kirtans (religious processions), Kirtan Darbars, and Vishal Diwans (large gatherings).
Additionally, the installation of Guru Gobind Singh as the tenth Sikh Guru, known as the Gurta Gaddi of Sri Guru Gobind Singhji, will be commemorated. At the large gatherings, shabad keertans and kathas will be performed by Bhai Anantvir Singhji (USA wale), Bhai Gurdev Singhji (Australia wale), Bhai Amarjeet Singh Taan, Gyani Sher Singhji (Ambala), and various Ragi Jathas. Hundreds of Sikh devotees and followers of other faiths are anticipated to attend the Kirtan Darbar (mass congregation) on November 23 from 11 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. at the Municipal Grounds, Chilkalguda, Sitafalmandi, as part of the 350th Gurta Gaddi of Sri Guru Gobind Singhji.
A vibrant Nagar Kirtan, or holy procession, will leave the Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad on November 25 at approximately 4:30 p.m. The Nishanchis (flag-bearers) will carry Sri Nishan Sahebans, the holy Sikh flag, from every Gurudwara in Telangana. Before heading back to the Gurudwara Saheb Sitaphalmandi, the procession will stop at the Clock Tower, Sangeet Crossroads, Keyes High School, Oliphant Bridge, Chilkalguda, and Mylargadda.
