About fifty of the deceased’s family members will depart Hyderabad following a Saudi accident

Hyderabad According to a senior Telangana official on Tuesday, over fifty family members of the pilgrims who perished in the horrific bus accident in Saudi Arabia will depart from here for the burial in the Gulf country. He informed PTI that the funeral is anticipated to happen on Thursday. He stated that the Telangana government delegation, headed by Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammad Azharuddin, traveled to Saudi Arabia to organize the funeral preparations and other relief activities.
The bodies have been preserved despite being burned beyond recognition. When the family travels to Saudi Arabia to complete death certificates, DNA testing will be done. “Death certificates would be handed over only if DNA matches,” he stated. He noted that in addition to the Telangana government and travel reimbursement, the Saudi government may also offer compensation to the deceased’s family. According to him, DNA matching is essential to adhering to the legal processes. According to him, the family members would also need to receive pertinent documentation from the Telangana government’s revenue department.
According to the official, there will probably be a large funeral. According to sources familiar with the situation, 42 pilgrims—mostly from Telangana—were killed in the bus tragedy. On Monday, however, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar stated that 45 people had died. On Monday, the Telangana government made the decision to hold the deceased’s funeral in accordance with Saudi Arabian religious customs and to provide each of the deceased’s relatives an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh.
