Hyderabad: According to party sources, Mohammed Azharuddin, a senior Congress leader and former Indian cricket captain, is scheduled to be inducted into the Telangana Cabinet on Thursday. At the next swearing-in ceremony, Azharuddin is anticipated to take the oath of office as a minister. We expect official confirmation from the Chief Minister’s Office or the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC). After the Supreme Court overturned Kodandaram and Amer Ali Khan’s previous nominations, Azharuddin was nominated to the Legislative Council in August of this year as a member under the Governor’s quota. Kodandaram and Azharuddin were nominated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on the updated list. His appointment will increase the Revanth Reddy cabinet’s minister count to sixteen. The Chief Minister is one of the 18 members of Telangana’s Council of Ministers.
