New Delhi: Speaking during a press conference in Nagpur, Pawar acknowledged that the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi ought to have exercised greater caution prior to the Maharashtra polls.
Congressman Rahul Gandhi’s presentation on “vote theft” was thoroughly studied and recorded, according to NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar, who also stated that the Election Commission of India (ECI) should investigate the issue. Speaking during a press conference in Nagpur, Mr. Pawar acknowledged that the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi ought to have exercised greater caution prior to the Maharashtra polls. “We should have looked into it earlier and been careful,” he stated.
Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, called the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral registers a “institutionalized chori” and said the Election Commission was “openly colluding” with the BJP to carry out this “theft” in order to deny the poor the ability to vote.
Mr. Pawar claimed that Mr. Gandhi had provided thorough evidence in his presentation.
His words were, “The ECI should look into it,”
The veteran leader bemoaned the needless drama surrounding Uddhav Thackeray’s attendance at a dinner gathering sponsored by Rahul Gandhi on behalf of the Shiv Sena (UBT).
“A PowerPoint presentation was shown. We sit in the back instead of the front when watching a movie on screen. I took the back seat with Farooq Abdullah. In order to adequately watch the presentation, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Uddhav Thackeray were also placed in the back, he added.
He added that the opposition has not yet made a decision regarding its position in the September 9 vice presidential election.
Additionally, Mr. Pawar denied rumors that his group would join forces with the ruling NCP, which is run by his nephew Ajit Pawar.
“We will never align with a BJP-led alliance,” he declared.
