Punjab’s Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on Saturday that Babbar Khalsa International terrorist Parminder Singh, also known as Pindi, has been deported from the United Arab Emirates. He was accused of committing numerous terrible murders.
Pindi works closely with terrorists Harwinder Singh, also known as Rinda, and Happy Passia, who are based abroad. According to the DGP, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and other central authorities worked closely together to bring him from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
According to Yadav, Pindi was responsible for a number of horrible crimes in Batala, Gurdaspur, including extortions, brutal assaults, and petrol bomb attacks. According to the DGP, Pindi, a native of Harsha in Batala, is not just a criminal but a crucial member of a dangerous terror-criminal organization. Yadav claimed that Pindi was financing his operations and coordinating crimes using a variety of social media channels.
A committed four-person team headed by a senior police officer traveled to the United Arab Emirates on September 24 in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and UAE authorities after the Batala Police requested a red corner notice (RCN). They successfully completed all legal formalities and brought the accused back to face justice.
According to the DGP, Punjab Police’s zero-tolerance attitude against terrorism and organized crime, together with its sophisticated investigation skills and worldwide reach, are highlighted by this successful extradition.
“We are thankful to the MEA, the Government of the United Arab Emirates, CBI and other central agencies for their invaluable cooperation in this joint effort to uphold justice and strengthen national security.”
Suhail Qasim Mir, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Batala, provided additional details. He stated that the CBI obtained the red corner notice (RCN) against Pindi through Interpol due to the seriousness of the crimes he committed and his close ties to terrorists Harwinder Rinda and Happy Passia, who are based in Pakistan.
He said that tracking his activities and final location in Abu Dhabi was made possible in large part by this worldwide notice. According to the SSP, police broke up a vital link in a transnational terror network when they apprehended Pindi. He went on to say that this operation makes it clear that the long arm of the law knows no bounds.
