Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has been given permission by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev varma to bring charges against former minister K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) in the Formula E auto racing case. The issue concerns the alleged embezzlement of ₹54.88 crore in cash intended for the Formula E racing event. In relation to the probe, KTR has already made multiple appearances before the ACB. The ACB had already written to the Governor requesting permission to prosecute, claiming that there was evidence pointing to KTR’s involvement. The Governor has now formally granted authorization to move forward in response to this request. The chargesheet in the case is anticipated to be filed by the ACB shortly.
