Amaravathi: “The state government has failed to secure adequate urea despite sharing power with the NDA”: Reddy Kakani Goverdhan, a former minister
On September 9, the YSRC plans to hold protest rallies in front of revenue division offices throughout Andhra Pradesh to denounce the Telugu Desam (TD) government’s “anti-farmer” policies and its inability to guarantee urea supply. Speaking to the media, former minister Kakani Goverdhan Reddy said that a scam worth more than ₹200 crore had been perpetrated by diverting over 50% of the urea allotted to private traders for kickbacks, hence creating an artificial scarcity.
