RIYADH: King Salman has ordered the Citizen Account Program to be extended until the end of 2026, which includes continuing to offer its beneficiaries further support.
The extension was decided after a recommendation was filed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Press Agency stated.
Registration to the program will also stay available and the directive represents the sustained attention and care that the leadership delivers to citizens, SPA stated.
Registration for the program began in February 2017 after it was first announced in December 2016. It was intended to safeguard Saudi families from the impact of numerous economic reforms, which may have put an additional burden on some parts of society.
