Congress Policies Will Drive Farmers To BRS, Says Former Minister

NALGONDA: Given that people have been troubled by Congress policies for the past two years, former minister and BRS MLA Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy expressed confidence that the public will support the BRS in the next gram panchayat elections. He claimed that Telangana is once again dealing with issues from before 2014 at a press conference in Suryapet. He asserted that farmers are the most negatively impacted, with inconsistencies in paddy purchases and a resumption of fertilizer shortages.
He claimed that procurement facilities are rejecting farmers’ paddy because of its moisture content. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was also charged by Jagadish Reddy with misleading BCs by not offering the promised 42% reservations for local body elections. He claimed that BCs have not obtained any reservations as all in certain gram panchayats. He warned that the BC community would retaliate against Congress and pledged that the BRS would battle for BC quotas.
