Puttaparthi (Andhra Pradesh): On Wednesday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu stated that the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, founded by the late spiritual leader Sri Sathya Sai Baba, brought harmony to people of all faiths and communities worldwide. Speaking at the centennial commemoration of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s birth, the Chief Minister noted that those who came with burdens returned feeling renewed and that people found solutions to their issues at the spiritual center.
“Peace was discovered here by people from many communities and religions. They discovered answers to their challenges and issues. According to Naidu, “those who came with burdens returned with renewed energy.” According to the CM, Sathya Sai Baba was the epitome of the mantra “love all, serve all, help ever hurt never” and exemplified these characteristics for everyone. Sathya Sai Baba was described as the picture of God who walked the world.
Naidu claims that among other admirable ideals, Sathya Sai Baba lived with a passion for world peace, prosperity, and happiness for everybody. Naidu claimed that Sathya Sai Baba’s influence was so great that his followers ranged from simple people to state leaders, in addition to converting atheists to spirituality. The TDP chief emphasized that devotees traveled from all over the world to give hundreds of crores of rupees and give up material possessions in order to enjoy a happy and tranquil life with Sathya Sai Baba.
“Wherever I go, in any country, when I say I am from Andhra Pradesh, many foreigners tell me, We have visited Puttaparthi we received Baba’s blessings.’ That is the greatness and divine glory of Baba,” he remarked. Referring to Baba’s welfare works, Naidu said 60,000 students from kindergarten to doctoral studies are pursuing free education in 102 Sathay Sai educational institutions. Sathya Sai hospitals provide free medical care to over 3,000 patients, and the spiritual organization invested Rs 550 crore in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu to provide drinking water to 1,600 villages, helping 30 lakh people.
The chief minister added that among other such initiatives, the Sathya Sai Trust invested Rs 250 crore on the Chennai drinking water modernization plan. With 2,000 locations throughout 140 countries, the Sathya Sai Trust maintains a network of 7.5 lakh active members. He added that the Andhra Pradesh government is already formally planning the Sathya Sai Centenary celebrations and that both the federal and state governments will completely support the festivities.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for honoring Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba with postal stamps and a unique coin worth Rs 100. Naidu emphasized that PM Modi has brought India’s customs, Ayurveda, spiritual history, yoga, and meditation to the international arena and expressed his strong belief in the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, or “The World is One Family.”
