A strange occurrence occurred in Ahmedabad when a woman threw chilli powder in the shopkeeper’s eyes in an effort to rob a jewelry store during the day. The heist didn’t proceed as planned, though, because the woman was slapped 17 times in 15 seconds. According to Times Now, the incident happened on November 3 in Ahmedabad’s Ranip neighborhood.
At approximately 12:30 pm, the woman entered the store pretending to be a client. She put chilli pepper into the shopkeeper’s eyes as soon as she saw an opportunity to grab the jewelry. The shopkeeper reacted instinctively, avoiding the blow and grabbing hold of her right away. Enraged by the foul play, he gave the woman to the police after slapping her 17 times in 15 seconds. On social media, a video of the botched heist also gained popularity.
The incident occurred a little over a month after two robbers on a bike in Delhi stole a bag holding ₹60 lakh worth of gold and silver jewelry at gunpoint, as previously reported by HT. Around 5 p.m. on September 24, two thieves on a bike ambushed two employees of a south Delhi businessman on a scooter and stole a bag containing gold and silver jewelry worth ₹60 lakh at gunpoint close to Bharat Mandapam on Bhairon Marg, in the high-security area of central Delhi, according to police.
After buying the gold and silver items from a store at Kucha Mahajani in Chandni Chowk, the workers were heading to the businessman’s home in Bhogal, south Delhi, according to police. Wearing helmets, the criminals took off on their motorcycle with the bag that held the jewelry. According to a police officer with knowledge of the inquiry, the workers, Shivam and Raghav, had picked up the jewelry at their employer’s request, dropped some of it off at another store for hallmarking, and were on their way to his residence when the incident occurred.
“When the victims refused to give up their bag holding the gold goods, one of the thieves brandished a weapon and threatened to shoot them. Shivam was the scooter’s pillion rider when the bandits grabbed the bag and drove off, according to the police.
