When the teaser for The Bads of Bollywood was released, the excitement in Bollywood circles peaked. Shah Rukh Khan’s admirers were anticipating whether his son Aryan Khan would make a brief appearance, but this time the surprise came from behind the camera. The son of SRK, Aryan Khan, is directing rather than performing. He has also demonstrated that he can hold his own against well-known actors like Rohit Shetty with just one teaser. Excitement for Aryan Khan’s audacious ambition swiftly replaced the disappointment of not seeing him in a role.
For the first time, Aryan is directing the Netflix series, and the presentation was impressive. SRK himself hosted the occasion at the Mumbai launch, presenting his son’s creation to the globe. Shah Rukh’s voiceover opens the teaser, establishing the tone for a humorous tale about the movie business. The lines allude to the stark contrast between being a real-life hero and becoming one on TV.

The main characters are introduced to us shortly after: Bobby Deol as the seasoned superstar Ajay Talkvar; Manish Chaudhary as a flamboyant producer Sodawallah; Lakshya as a budding actor named Aasman Singh; and Sahher Bambba as the leading lady. The teaser depicts Bollywood with a sardonic edge, highlighting ego, fame, and covert power struggles. Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Karan Johar’s brief appearances give the cameos additional zing and immediate shock value. Manoj Pahwa, Gautami Kapoor, Mona Singh, and Rajat Bedi are also part of the ensemble cast. Aryan Khan appears to be prepared to provide something unvarnished and bold in The Bads of Bollywood, which is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and will debut on Netflix on September 18.
