New Delhi: Within five days of its streaming debut, Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, became the most-watched non-English movie on Netflix worldwide.
Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, has made history in its first week of release on streaming services by being the most-watched non-English movie worldwide. The love drama has defeated Netflix’s Hindi original Inspector Zende and the German sensual film Fall For Me.
Saiyaara is at the top of Netflix’s worldwide charts.
With 3.7 million views and 9.3 million hours viewed, Saiyaara is currently at the top of the list of non-English films globally, according to Tudum, Netflix’s databank of top-performing titles. Inspector Zende, starring Manoj Bajpayee, rounds out the top three with 6.2 million hours viewed, while Fall For Me comes in second with 6.5 million hours. Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom, which has 2.5 million hours of viewing and is ranked ninth, is the only other Indian film in the top 10.
