Sunita Ahuja, Govinda’s wife, has filed for divorce, claiming the former celebrity cheated on her and committed adultery.
The wife of famous Bollywood actor Govinda, Sunita Ahuja, has reportedly filed for divorce at the Bandra Family Court, shocking both fans and the entertainment world. This follows her tearful vlog appearance in which she addressed lingering rumors about their marriage.
Sunita has filed the petition under Section 13 (1) (i), (ia), and (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, claiming infidelity, cruelty, and desertion as reasons for ending their 38-year marriage, according to a Hauterrfly article. According to reports, Govinda was called by the court on May 25. However, the actor has not shown up for any of the proceedings, therefore a show-cause notice has been issued. Since June 2025, Sunita has regularly attended the court-mandated counseling sessions and hearings, although Govinda’s absence has been noticed in official proceedings.

According to Sunita, “I prayed to the Goddess that I should marry Govinda and lead a happy life when I first met him.” The Goddess granted my every wish, including the blessing of two children. Despite what I am seeing today, I have such faith in the Goddess that I know Maa Kaali is present if someone tries to break into my house. A decent man and a nice lady should not be harmed. I adore the Goddess in all three of her manifestations. Maa will not pardon anyone who attempts to destroy my family, no matter what the circumstances.
